2013 "Blessed" Merlot

Bronze Medal, 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Bronze Medal, 2018 McMinnville Wine & Food Festival.

Our 2013 "Blessed" Merlot is a small lot made from one and a half tons of berries from the "Salmon Safe" and LIVE certified Steelhead Run Vineyard in beautiful Applegate Valley, Oregon.

Aged for 21 months in one-fourth new American Oak, one-fourth 2nd use French Oak, and one-half neutral French Oak barrels following native yeast fermentation; unfiltered and unfined. Forest fires in the summer of 2013 caused smoke to hang on the Applegate Valley floor for six weeks. The result is a rich and well-balanced wine with notes of dark cherry, plum, black pepper and a subtle smokiness.

90 cases produced.

Please note, we have a three bottle minimum order to ship wine, mix or match.
